No. 0961 Going Vegan

Although the image of the middle east is of a meat-lover's paradise, in fact, the opposite can easily be true. Indeed, I've come across a number of vegetarians and vegans who love the middle eastern cuisine and who have told me they find it easier to be vegan in Egypt than in any other place.

When you think about it, it makes sense. Lots of fresh baked goods from here are made without dairy. Delicious falafel and foul sandwiches (enough to live on - - most Egyptians do). And delicious tasting sun-kissed vegetables and fruit all year round.

What more could a vegan hope for?
