Suntanning

I do believe you should never encourage suntanning. However, for those of you who do prefer that California glow, you can save your money from the tanning salons and pick up a ticket for Egypt.

Or better yet, just buy a bronzer and still hop on the plane over here.

Sun-kissed Laundry

Yes. Do a favor to the earth, and stop using up electricity by putting your clothes in the dryer; instead let your bedsheets and clothes dry the natural way, kissed by rays of sunshine. In Egypt - it's easy, in the summer  - depending on the heat - you can take half an hour to dry sometimes, even faster than your machine, and great for naturally bleaching your whites (though a bit less fabulous for your darker colors - take care not to leave them out too long!)

Sandal Weather - ALL YEAR ROUND

I think the vast majority of Egyptians really don't know how good they have it when it comes to the weather. As a Canadian, I can attest - its "milla/milla" (perfect!).

In Canada, we would LOVE to wear sandals all year round. There are some who even try (nearing the sanity of those who do the Polar Bear Plunge). Unless you are living in Vancouver, then it's really not a good idea; instead of your toes being happy, they will just have frost bite.

In Egypt however, your toes are uber-happy from the royal treatment they receive: fresh air, sun tanning, freedom to move and not be cloistered by socks. Flaunt them with rings, pedicures, lovely leather Egyptian sandals, strappy high heels, you can wear your sandals ALL YEAR ROUND.
