No. 0952 Fabulous Stuffed Eggplant

Fabulous eggplant, thank God, features prominently in a lot of Egyptian meals. I love it. Fabulous stuff. These lovely hors d'oeuvres are made from these small thin plum eggplants sliced down the middle, stewed in vinegar (somehow - don't ask me details of the mysterious art of cooking) and stuffed with pungent garlic, hot green pepper, olive oil maybe tomatoes as well and some other mystery spices the chef who made this particular plate magically added.

Highly recommend these babies, but must qualify this - before eating make sure you are:
1. not planning on kissing anyone;
2. not going to a job interview;
3. not pregnant;
4. and not planning on a family road trip for more than half an hour.
